Qualifying Criteria*
Network Optimization
Sponsor Class Participants must operate within or closely align with the telecom sector. Eligible organizations include, but are not limited to:

Network operators providing telecommunications services.

Equipment manufacturers involved in hardware or device development for telecom infrastructure.

Software developers creating applications, platforms, or systems relevant to network operations.

Research institutions offering expertise in telecom technologies.

Demonstrate an understanding of industry challenges and contribute toward developing and deploying innovative solutions.
Commitment to the Mission
Sponsors must exhibit a clear dedication to the objectives of TIP, such as promoting open and disaggregated technology solutions, fostering innovation, and driving cost efficiencies. This commitment can be demonstrated through active participation in Project Groups, testing projects, collaborations, and public advocacy for TIP’s goals.
Technical Expertise
Sponsor Class Participants should bring significant technical knowledge or resources to the table. This may include:

Sharing proprietary research or data to advance collaborative projects.

Offering access to facilities, testbeds, or equipment for shared use.

Developing and deploying proof-of-concept trials or pilot projects.

Sponsor Participants should also be willing to mentor or guide other Participants to foster industry-wide growth.
Leadership and Advocacy
Sponsors are expected to take on leadership roles within TIP. This can include:

Active participation in TIP’s governance structure, such as serving on the Board of Directors and/or committees and councils.

Co-chair and/or co-leadership at TIP Project Groups (PGs)

Representing TIP in industry conferences, forums, and media engagements.

Advocating for TIP’s initiatives by influencing policy or public opinion within the telecom sector.
Collaborative Engagement
Sponsors must have a proven ability to work effectively with other members in collaborative environments. They should be committed to sharing insights, best practices, and resources to drive progress on shared goals. Active involvement in TIP’s Project Groups and testing projects is critical to fulfilling this requirement.
Corporate Standing
Sponsor Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of corporate responsibility, including ethical practices, sustainability, and inclusivity. They must comply with TIP’s organizational documents and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations within their operations.
*In addition to the above criteria, an organization applying to become a TIP Sponsor will be admitted as such only (a) if there is an open Sponsor position; and (b) following approval of a majority of all current TIP Sponsors.

Our Current Sponsor Organizations
The Technical Committe (TC) is an Administrative Committee within TIP, as defined by the TIP Bylaws, established to support the TIP Board of Directors in its oversight of technical matters.As a strategic committee, the TC is composed of recognized industry experts dedicated to identifying industry challenges, technology disruptions, and developing a long-term technology roadmap for TIP.
Additionally, the TC offers guidance to foster technical excellence within the TIP Project Groups, TIP projects, and the broader TIP community. It is also responsible for overseeing Project Groups, approving certain technical publications, and recommending actions for the Board’s consideration.

We provide you with our Sponsor Participation Agreement (SPA) to review.

TIP’s current Sponsors will review your application.

They may ask for a presentation from your team.

TIP’s current Sponsors will then evaluate your full application and vote.

If you receive a majority vote, your application is approved!

Your organization submits your signed SPA, and our Billing team will provide you with your dues invoice.
